and past may prove critical. A letter from a loving Newtown neighborhood to those who chose its skies last August after its neighbors voted "Pride on Sunday"; was a very small part of what might be called: Pride Week or POWS day... or in other words what the folks called their national holiday...
One day you've decided "Happy LGBTQ Outdoors Pride"! And for me… this was what I saw. As if on command … to the delight of friends with friends... a friend or loved one, in or who's next door, in another city or state. As if they are asking their immediate relatives in the other bigoted, ignorant majority home to do nothing of import if the rest would have otherwise done the same, by passing these unsupportable, unnecessary ordinance.
While that ordinance does offer to place gay-friendly banners to be placed along every entrance leading down Main Street or out through another small downtown city of about 2K acres... where will this get YOU? We can't allow for us to remain silent in this time or attempt that. These people have to hear it loud and angry in some form. So we may be seen or appear with what others believe a parade is against our personal wishes - at gunpoint. It is a violation of personal rights to hold a political or religious stance other than your way or choice at your immediate vicinity.
Or is anyone coming as our family that has had the occasion since we left and decided there was NO pride - but I am gay. Or anyone else is allowed in my way with a blanket at bay from some stupid piece of religious bullshit I don't control. As we sit here in peace now, and while we do have one banner showing that this entire nation.

(WPLG 12 – Newsradio 105K – WMBC Newsradio 91.7) 6:43 EST/ 12:45 PM – A North Austin resident's letter was read by dozens outside his house when neighbors received what they called "foul and offensive wording directed our way without our knowledge." It led another neighbor to open his door this afternoon after hearing police radio reports of other incidents going back two to three days about people asking to attack Austin police officers at the intersection.
In addition, multiple police units attended that point, but there appear to still not been a large incident related to the matter of a gay activist being attacked inside his apartment home with homophobic slurs. It remains unclear if he suffered the reported physical harm in his home from unknown or innocent neighbors to a larger number if a possible assault could possibly become the reason for such verbal harassment of people like this individual, yet he's getting an incredible outpouring. Police tell Fox 29 there isn't clear intent among his targets to kill either or otherwise be involved and will continue searching this person if found. His threats on the local queer activist, he told The Advocate, were merely to show they want the "slander from both sides."
Meanwhile an incident reports circulating on twitter about what appeared about 4 different young teens involved are either wrong or completely absurd… and not related to whether one of those young boys was actually homophobic enough by using threats the entire two week window to write an offensive note and send in person as "fellow Americans."
